A small village in West Cork has scored a major coup in getting a match against some of the greatest Irish soccer legends.

Although they’re getting on a bit, the likes of Ronnie Whelan, John Aldridge, Ray Houghton, and Phil Babb have agreed to line out in a Liverpool Legends team which will take on the veterans of Drinagh Rangers.

The ex-Liverpool fab four notched up a combined 726 appearances for the Merseyside club and 230 for the Republic of Ireland.
