An all-weather running track and associated facilities were officially opened in Enniscorthy at the weekend as part of a €1m sports hub.

Treacy highlights value of Wexford sports hub

Irish Sports Council CEO John Treacy and cathaoirleach of Wexford County Council’s Enniscorthy district Barbara-Anne Murphy performed the opening of the facility, the first of its kind in the county.

The state-of-the-art sports track and field venue offers athletes a 400m eight-lane all-weather running track, long jump and high jump areas, steeplechase, and a centre in-field area, all of which are floodlit.
