Glasnevin Trust — the largest provider of funeral services in Ireland — has agreed to a raft of changes to how it sells burial plots, headstones and headstone foundations to ensure transparency for consumers.

It agreed to the changes following an investigation by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) into anti-competitive practices.

Glasnevin Trust, also known as the Dublin Cemeteries Committee, operates five cemeteries and two crematoria in Dublin. It also operates Glasnevin Florists Ltd and Glasnevin Cemetery Monument Works Ltd (GCMW) which creates and erects headstones.
