Kerry burial land bid fails

An expected land purchase to resolve a grave crisis in Killarney, Co Kerry, has fallen through.

Over a year ago, Kerry County Council indicated they were about to reach agreement with the owner of a private graveyard at Aghadoe, outside Killarney, but no progress has since been made.

The owners of the private graveyard have now issued a 14-day ultimatum to the council to finalise a purchase deal.
