Mother to face trial over two-year-old son’s killing

A Dublin woman accused of the murder of her two-year-old son wept as a judge was told the Director of Public Prosecutions has directed she will stand trial in the Central Criminal Court.

Hazel Waters, aged 46, of Ridge Hall, Ballybrack, Co Dublin, had been charged after toddler Muhammad Hassan Khan had been found dead with stab wounds in the bedroom at their apartment on October 16 last year.

She is accused of murdering her son at a time between October 15-16 last.
