€120k for boy injured by basketball unit fall

A 6-year-old boy who was injured when a part of a basketball unit fell on him in a Dublin creche two-and-a-half years ago has settled his High Court action for €120,000.

Dawid Galek, the High Court heard, lost some of the top of his ring finger and little finger in the accident.

Dawid Galek, of Waterside Walk, Malahide, had, through his father Krzysztof Galek, sued Kids Inc Ltd, which runs a creche at Seatown Rd, Swords.
