Citizens ‘need more control’ over their data

Minister says people must have their trust and confidence in digital environment strengthened

Data protection minister Dara Murphy has said individuals need to have more control over their own data, and have their trust and confidence in the digital environment strengthened.

He also said State-run departments must respect the rule of law when dealing with personal data.
