George Hook gives his line on hospital experience

Broadcaster George Hook took to Twitter from his hospital bed yesterday to lament the fact so many patients were forced to suffer on trolleys as he rested comfortably in a private room.

The Newstalk presenter underwent a successful knee operation in Blackrock Clinic yesterday, passing the time by posting about his experience on social media.

“I must confess to a feeling of sadness that 600 people are on trollies [sic] and thanks to VHI I am in a smart room in Blackrock Clinic,” he tweeted.
