Two bodies taken from River Lee

The bodies of a man and a woman were taken from the River Lee, Cork, yesterday.

The Coast Guard, the Naval Diving Service, and an Garda Síochána were all involved in the recovery operation, which concluded at around 6pm.

Neither of the bodies have yet been identified, but it is understood that they may have been homeless.
