See Ireland's first shipping container home

The country’s first shipping container home is to be completed and then likely to be donated to a Cork charity in time for Christmas.

The 12m unit has been overhauled by a combination of architects, property experts, and business people over the past two years and will be fully compliant with housing standards.

The container is currently in the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin’s Kilmainham, and will be available for public viewing from November 27 to November 30.
