A man has gone on trial accused of abducting his sister-in-law and raping her several times before bringing her to a pub for a pint.

The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of his victim, has pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court to six counts of raping and assaulting the woman on January 20, 2011, in Co Kerry.

It is alleged that one of the rapes took place at a location between counties Kerry and Limerick, after the victim claimed the accused man bundled her into his car and blindfolded her.
