Toddler dies after truck hit buggy

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a two-year-old girl and a 60-year-old woman were killed in separate road incidents yesterday.

A two-year girl was killed when her buggy was struck by a lorry as she and her mother crossed a busy road in Waterford City yesterday morning.

Daenerys Crosbie and her mother Carole Ann Crosbie, 30, were metres from their Montessori school when the accident occurred shortly after 10am.
