Listeners tune out of RTÉ 1 big guns

RTÉ Radio 1 has suffered a significant fall in listenership to a number of its top shows over the last year, according to the latest Joint National Listenership Research (JNLR) figures published yesterday.

The station’s daily shows in particular have been badly affected.

Sean O’Rourke has seen his listener numbers drop by a whopping 39,000 to 295,000 in the last 12 months, while the show before his, the John Murray show has seen a fall of 23,000 to 302,000.
