Fear factor helps castles onto list of spookiest destinations

Accommodation for the afterlife is booming it seems as castles in counties Kerry and Meath have been named on two lists as the world’s most haunted destinations.

According to travel website Trip Advisor, Kerry’s Ballyseede Castle tops the list for spine-tingling sites, its gory history chilling visitors to the bone.

Set on a 30-acres outside Tralee, the medieval castle was home to the Fitzgerald who refused to swear allegiance to the crown.
