Three people admit committing fraud against enterprise group
Martin and Susan Cremin, Derry, Banteer, Co Cork, and Simon Atkins of Clara Rd, Millstreet, Co Cork, were arraigned at Cork Circuit Criminal Court where they pleaded guilty to the same three charges.
The first count stated that on October 12, 2009, at IRD Duhallow Ltd, O’Keefe Institute, Demesne, Newmarket, Co Cork, they stole €83,500, the property of IRD Duhallow Ltd.
The second count stated that between June 2 and September 9, 2009, at Derry, Banteer, they made a false instrument, purporting to be a €49,776 invoice with the intention of a Leader grant made to you to the prejudice of IRD Duhallow Ltd.
The third charge also refers to the incorrect invoice of €49,776 presented to the Revenue Commissioners, Assumption Road, Blackpool, Cork.
They will be sentenced on Wednesday.
