Who is playing a major concert in Croke Park next summer?
The country is excitedly (or anxiously) speculating about Friday morning's announcement of a concert at Croke Park during summer 2015.
Not only will the concert be unveiled, the act will also be at the launch to answer questions from the press.
The press invite issued today by concert promoters MCD reads: "You are cordially invited to attend a press conference this Friday, October 31 at 10:15am in Croke Park for a concert announcement.
"The headline act will be in attendance with Q & A and photo opportunities available."
It's guaranteed to be a huge act, as the last time such a release was issued was for the ill-fated Garth Brooks 2014 concerts in the stadium.
Among the most popular predictions on Twitter are One Direction, U2 and AC/DC.
I predict that @thescript @TheScript_Danny announcement about Irish dates will be on Friday and u predict they will play CROKE PARK!!

If the locals didn't like Garth Brooks in Croke Park, I wonder what they'll make of the rumours of ACDC playing next year.

So there's a big concert announcement in Croke Park on Friday. Fingers crossed it's someone good. Preferably Coldplay. Not Garth Brooks!
