Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald said the move is being considered as gardaí signalled the mother of the two-year-old, Hazel Waters, will appear today at a sitting of Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice charged in relation to his death.

Hassan was found in a flat in Ballybrack, Dublin, on Thursday. It is understood he was stabbed in the neck. He was the subject of a Child Rescue Ireland alert on August 10. It was cancelled within an hour when he was found with his father, Mohammed Saleem Khan.
