Alleged car park rape ‘never happened’
The incident was reported to have occurred in the Fair Hill car park early on September 22, around the time Kerry’s All-Ireland football victory was being celebrated locally.
A full Garda investigation was launched and, a week ago, a description of a man reported to have been involved in an attack on a woman in her 20s was issued.
However, gardaí yesterday confirmed nobody had been attacked or assaulted.
Meanwhile, investigations are continuing into an alleged sexual assault on an elderly woman in the Sneem area of Kerry early on September 20.
Gardaí seek information on two men spotted sitting in a car close to the scene.
