Robert Quigley, aged 34, of Tallaght, Dublin, was jailed in May 2007 for the abduction and sexual assault and assault causing harm to a young graduate in Dublin in November 2006 when he posed as a taxi driver outside a nightclub.

The woman was driven to the Dublin-Wicklow mountains by Quigley. he got a 12-year-sentence with four years suspended and he was released in 2012.

Quigley also admitted to a second attack involving the false imprisonment of a woman in Tralee, Co Kerry, also in 2006.

However, last year the Dublin probation service applied to have the suspended part of the sentence activated after it was found quigley had been using the internet to make contact with African women, in august 2013.

He had posed as a nightclub manager offering a job to a young female petrol station assistant, in Dublin, the Circuit Court in Tralee heard last year.

He was at high risk of re-offending, the court was also told, and Quigley was allowed bail on strict conditions. Yesterday when the court was told the probation officers wanted an adjournment, tom rice, prosecuting, said: “it’s important that he be monitored.”

Judge Carroll Moran granted the adjournment to November warning Quigley: “you are to co- operate with everything the probation service asks you.” among the conditions laid down last year for his bail were that he obey a strict curfew and desist from using the internet to make contact with African women.
