Hotels given food closure orders

Hotels in Tipperary and Wexford were among the 12 closure orders issued to food businesses last month, according to the latest figures from the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.

Docks Hotel in New Ross, Wexford, saw all its food operations, including bar, nightclub and the service of all food and drinks, closed for a violation of EC (Official Control of Foodstuffs) Regulations 2010, while the Kilcoran Lodge Hotel in Cahir, Co Tipperary, was issued with a closure order that excluded the sale and service of beverages at its hotel bar under the FSAI Act 1998.

Four more closure orders were served under the FSAI Act 1998 on Kebabish Tandoori, 39 Lower Clanbrassil Street, Dublin 8; Sami Halal Store, 63 Upper Clanbrassil Street, Dublin 8; Asian Foods, Blackrock Market, 19a Main Street, Blackrock, Co. Dublin and Quinns Pub, 42-44 Drumcondra Road Lower, Dublin 9.
