Unilever told to re-engage with Siptu

The Labour Court has told Unilever to re-engage with staff union Siptu, with which it had a "healthy working relationship" for more than 30 years.

According to the union, management at the multi-national food and drinks firm did not consult with it at all when, last March, it informed three field sales team members they were to be made redundant.

Siptu said that was “totally against the norm” as there had always been consultation in previous years.
