Ranks of punished Revenue staff revealed

The Revenue Commissioners have released details of the rank of staff who have been sacked or sanctioned for disciplinary breaches.

Over the last five years, 89 tax workers were punished for misconduct, and from that group, 20 went on to lose their jobs as a result.

Revenue has now confirmed that the highest rank of worker who was disciplined was an assistant principal, one of the top five grades in the civil service.
