Funeral ceremonies for the two Irish climbers who died last week following a fall on Mont Blanc took place at the weekend.

Friends Colm Ennis, 37, and Peter Britton, 55, were killed when they fell in the Giant’s Tooth sector of the treacherous French mountain on July 23. It is understood they died after falling around 200m when their rope broke loose.

Both men were members of the Rathgormack Climbing Club in Co Waterford.
