Parents face €100 water bill for each adult child

Students or adult children at home will cost their parents at least €102 a year each in water charges, set to be among the highest in Europe.

Set charges — which will remain unchanged for six months after meters are installed — mean a couple with two children in college will pay €482 a year, while a family with one child over 18 and one younger will pay €382.
