Verdict delayed in sibling sex assault
The jury at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Cork had deliberated for a total of almost six hours since Thursday before they were sent home yesterday by Mr Justice Paul Carney.
No verdict on any count was given yesterday. On Thursday the jury found the accused guilty of the first three counts on the indictment. The counts referred to the years 1991 and 1992 when the accused was aged 13 and 14 and his sister was four years younger.
