The ‘Mozart of Rock’, the ‘Gershwin of his generation’, the ‘new Schubert’. Take your pick. Brian — the last of the Beach Boys’ Wilson brothers — has been at the receiving end of more clichéd praise than any entertainer this side of the pearly gates.
