VIDEO: Today FM stars react to Twitter trolls' abuse

For professionals more adept at setting the nation’s soundtrack, Today FM presenters have this week faced the music from disgruntled listeners.

A host of the popular radio station’s most famous stars including breakfast host Ian Dempsey and his ‘Gift Grub’ collaborator Mario Rosenstock, and Mairead Farrell of the Ray D’Arcy show read a series of insulting tweets from less-than-complimentary listeners in a video released online yesterday.

Ranging from digs at the DJs’ looks; voices and presenting style, the victims take the taunts in good spirit and even give a little back.

Factual inaccuracies were no deterrent either with one Twitter user concluding that Canadian presenter Alison Curtis “is incredibly annoying, send her back to America”!

The video is a take on the ‘Celebrities Read Mean Tweets” videos popularised on Jimmy Kimmel Live on US television.
