A Cork solicitor and financial adviser was jailed last night after a jury returned 13 guilty verdicts against him in his deception trial.

Former Fianna Fáil councillor, Gary O’Flynn, was remanded in custody for sentencing on June 26.

Judge Seán Ó Donnabháin refused an application by Tom Power, defending, to remand him on bail pending sentence so that O’Flynn could put his affairs in order and also so reports could be prepared on him.
