Water charge will soar if FG re-elected, says Adams

Water charges will rocket after the next election if Fine Gael wins, opposition parties have warned.

Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams said it was telling the Government would only guarantee the current pricing structure for the two years up to the slated 2016 election.

Mr Adams said the charge had little to do with conservation and was intended as another tax burden on financially struggling families.
