Lucky escape as car ploughs into Ennis shop window

A woman had a lucky escape after a car ploughed into the front window of the shop where was working in Co Clare.

The worker had just popped into a room at the rear of the premises when she heard a loud crash and returned to find a car had smashed in almost the entire shop front.

The woman was unhurt while the driver of the Lexus saloon car also escaped injury. The incident happened at around 2.15pm in the Parnell Street carpark in Ennis.
