Fan offers treasured signed Munster jersey to fund French trip

Munster rugby fanatic Niamh Barron is prepared to go to extraordinary lengths to get to France for the big Heineken Cup game against Toulon.

Niamh, a mother-of-two from Limerick, who lives in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork, said: “If it was legal, I’d sell a kidney. But as I can’t sell a kidney, it’s either the credit union or selling my treasured Munster jersey which has been signed by the 2010/2011 panel.”

Niamh and her friend, Brenda O’Brien, haven’t missed a game, home or away, for the past five years.
