Fan offers treasured signed Munster jersey to fund French trip
Niamh, a mother-of-two from Limerick, who lives in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork, said: “If it was legal, I’d sell a kidney. But as I can’t sell a kidney, it’s either the credit union or selling my treasured Munster jersey which has been signed by the 2010/2011 panel.”
Niamh and her friend, Brenda O’Brien, haven’t missed a game, home or away, for the past five years.
“We are booked on the team flight from Shannon and the two overnights with match tickets will cost each of us €660.”
Niamh is now offering her special jersey for sale.
“I think it will be of interest to many people, and I am hoping a business will buy it to put on display somewhere. I have all the signatures of the team, many of whom have moved on like Ronan O’Gara, Alan Quinlan, Tomas O’Leary. I hate to part with the jersey, but desperate situations need desperate remedies. I don’t want to go and borrow money from the credit union. Our bags are packed, plane and match tickets got and now I hope the jersey will come to the rescue and help pay some of the expenses.”
Niamh can be contacted on 086-6600863.
