A top US medical devices company has chosen Limerick to make its new product, creating 270 high-end graduate jobs.

Medical firm picks Limerick for €80m investment

Ethicon Biosurgery estimates that 650 jobs will be created in supply and support companies, while a further 150 people will be employed in the construction of a 60,000 sq ft facility at Plassey Technological Park over the coming year.

Ethicon Biosurgery is part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, which employs 2,600 in this country, and has already recruited 90 of its new permanent workforce.
