Eye-witnesses shocked as wounded bomb suspect cried for help as he fled

A suspected bomber who suffered horrific blast injuries ran past shocked eye-witnesses with his hands to his face screaming “please help me, please help me”.

The man suffered severe wounds to his face when a bomb went off as he was attempting, gardaí suspect, to plant it under a car.

The blast occurred on a narrow road in a densely populated row of terraced cottages in Dublin’ south inner city at around 11pm on Sunday.
