It has to be the Gift of the Grab — Blarney’s Golf Resort and hotel has been bought, sight unseen, just two days after its new owner first heard of its impending sale.

A deal for €2.5m was signed on Friday last, via Savills, on the complex near famed Blarney village and castle, developed at a reported cost of €30m to €40m.

After five years on the market, and a series of price reductions from initial high hopes of €20m, the Blarney Golf Resort in Cork was sold last Friday for around its reduced asking price of €2.5m, via Denis O’Donoghue of Savills, acting for receivers PWC.
