Pair quizzed over fatal stabbing

Gardaí were continuing to question two men last night in relation to the fatal stabbing of a young man in Co Laois at the weekend.

The two suspects were arrested on Saturday evening following the discovery of a body of a 26-year-old man at a house on Spa St, Portarlington at around 5pm.

The scene was preserved for a technical examination and a preliminary autopsy was carried out by assistant State pathologist Dr Margot Bolster yesterday morning.
