VIDEO: Limerick students on NekNominations and social media
What started as a drinking game on social media has now become a source of tragedy which has prompted comment by An Taoiseach.
The death of two young men have now been attributed to the "craze" and has prompted criticisms of social media in general and calls for the game itself to be banned by Facebook.
In light of this UL media students, Frank Carlin and Gary Whelan, took to the University of Limerick campus and asked students what they made of NekNominations and whether they felt it - and other games promoting dangerous and irresponsible behaviour - should be banned from social media sites.
