Meehan miscarriage case can proceed
In its ruling yesterday the three-judge court dismissed an application by the DPP to have Meehan’s case struck out and said the application was “misconceived” or “at best premature”.
Meehan, aged 48, from Crumlin in Dublin, is serving a life sentence in Portlaoise Prison for the murder of Ms Guerin in June 1996. He has brought an application to have his conviction declared a miscarriage.
