A Cork taxi driver has offered a reward of €1,000 for the return of two watches left by a dying father to his two young sons.

The Omega watches are worth nothing as they were engraved by the dying 38-year-old for his sons, aged 10 and 8.

Stephen Carroll, who died of cancer of the kidney two months ago, had received the luxury watches as presents for his 21st and 30th birthday, and wanted them to be given to his eldest sons, Seenan and Keelan, as keepsakes.
