Sisters die in Donegal house fire

Two sisters, named locally as Jody Brogan, aged 24, and Anngeline Brogan, 28, died in a house fire in Letterkenny yesterday morning.

The alarm was raised after fire broke out at the house in Cannon View at Mountain Top around 11am.

The emergency services found the two young women in one of the bedrooms of the house. One of the women was understood to be dead at the scene, while the other was rushed to the nearby Letterkenny General Hospital, but died a short time later.
