Family to bring medical card fight to the Dáil

Taoiseach Enda Kenny will be warned today that the deepening medical cards restriction crisis being defended by his Government is putting a boy’s “life at risk”.

The family of Ronan Woodhouse, 8, will make the claim this afternoon in letters to be handed directly to the Taoiseach and senior HSE officials following a four-hour protest march through Dublin City.

As first revealed by the Irish Examiner last month, Clare native Ronan was told earlier this year that he is no longer eligible for a discretionary medical card.
