Man gets three years for stab attack

A man stabbed and beaten in his home said when he managed to escape from the crime scene, his attackers tried to drag him back like a pig into a slaughterhouse.

One of the two attackers, Paul O’Brien, of 12 Farranferris Park, Farranree, Cork, was jailed for three years yesterday for the attack and robbery.

Detective Garda John Gleeson said the victim left his home at Orchard Court in Blackpool and got talking to O’Brien, another man and a woman. After a while he invited them back to his flat for a few drinks.
