O’Garas being sued by luxury furniture firm
The record points scorer for Ireland and Munster has been given six weeks to prepare his defence in a civil case brought by the Cork-based company.
Bespoke handcrafted furniture specialists House of Coolmore Ltd, with a business address at Raheens, Carrigaline, Co Cork, brought the motion against the O’Garas, of Maryborough Hill, Douglas, before Cork County Registrar Deirdre O’Mahony.
House of Coolmore counsel asked for a six-week adjournment to allow the O’Garas to prepare their defence. The adjournment was granted.
No details of the action or the sum of money involved were given. It is understood the action revolves around the installation of a luxury furniture item at the O’Garas’ home.
Mr O’Gara did not attend yesterday’s hearing. He is based in France, where he has taken up a coaching job with Racing Metro.
