Cannabis addict squared up to garda with broken bottles

A man who abused cannabis almost daily since he was 12 requires “intensive” care and counselling, a district judge said yesterday.

It also emerged yesterday that a parent of the now 22-year-old man, Finn Gray, had “permitted” the near daily use of the illegal drug.

Gray, with court papers giving his address as a multicultural holistic centre, An Sanctoir, Ballydehob, West Cork, had a “disadvantaged” background, with his parents separating when he was aged one.
