Relief as school set for major expansion

Parents living in a satellite town in Cork will breathe a sigh of relief as their local community school is set for significant expansion.

The success of Glanmire Community College and a major increase in the area’s population had led to a shortage of space for children.

This reached crisis point three years ago when the numbers wanting to enrol in the school exceeded the available space.
