Haley gets ready for the role of a lifetime

It’s the morning after the night before and while the words “tired” and “emotional” are crashing around tender Tralee heads, US southern belle Haley O’Sullivan has more important issues on her mind.

The Texas Rose will spend the next year representing her homeland, adopted state and the land of her grandparents as the 2013 Rose of Tralee.

And while she is looking forward to the challenge, the teacher and GAA nut admits it is taking time to come to terms with the responsibility that now rests on her shoulders.
