The family of Kerry teenager Donal Walsh has set up a foundation in his honour to preserve his memory and promote the causes that punctuated his short, yet vibrant, life.

The Donal Walsh #Livelife Foundation has been set up to bring forward his causes of providing age-appropriate teenage facilities in hospital and hospice centres as well as promoting his anti-suicide message.

While he was battling cancer for four years from the age of 12, Donal became very aware of the effect his illness was having on his family and friends. He also wanted to address suicidal youngsters and persuade them that taking their own lives was not the answer.
