Impact, the trade union representing pilots at the airline, yesterday confirmed that its members had voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action.

The planned strike, due to begin at midnight on Tuesday, is being taken over the company’s refusal to end a pay freeze and restore cuts implemented when the airline was in financial trouble.
