Mrs Brown’s Boys voted favourite TV family

So long, Simpsons and ta ta, Del Boy — Mrs Brown’s Boys are the country’s favourite TV family.

More than 1,000 viewers were surveyed by cable provider UPC and Brendan O’Carroll’s comic creation came out on top, ahead of the stars of classic sitcom Only Fools and Horses, the Trotter family, with Homer Simpson and his brood pushed into third place.

Dysfunctional hoteliers Basil and Sybil Fawlty were in fourth place, ahead of the wholesome Waltons who were in fifth.
