More services needed to tackle teen homelessness
The study, carried out on behalf of the Department of Children by the Centre for Effective Services, found that while changes in the system had helped contribute to overall falls in youth homelessness, there were issues over access to mental health services.
The report, entitled Every Child a Home, said service responses for children aged 16 to 18 need more focus, as does the management of the transition between child and adult services.
