Norris vows that cancer will not beat him

Leading senator David Norris has vowed not to let his battle with cancer force him from public office.

The noted human rights campaigner and former presidential candidate said he wanted to be open about the disease to help end any stigma associated with it.

Mr Norris said: “I am currently undergoing medical management for a serious cancer condition.”
